Darren Magee Constructions

Darren was born in Noosa Hospital in 1968, son of pioneer builder, Merv Magee. He lives in Sunshine Beach and was schooled in the Noosa Shire through his primary and high school years.. As most Sunshine Coast kids do, he gravitated towards the ocean and through that, travelled the world for 15 years as a professional surfer, enjoying success at national and international levels. Once retired, Darren returned to the building industry, initially to keep fit, then secondly, through an interest in design, form and function of homes that Noosa has truly made her own. Darren has worked from the ground up in a true sense as he commenced his second career less than ten years ago. Starting as a labourer, then carpenter and now a licensed builder, he has had the privilege to work alongside some of Noosa's best builders and subcontractors. Starting out with family builders, Kev and Marion Lindsay, who specialised in demolition and construction, as well as commercial maintenance, proved a great base. Darren has also worked for builders of the calibre of Matt Black, Peter Zauss, Paul Clout, Glenn Fuller, and Matt Humphrey, just to name a few. All this body of work was guided by some of Noosa's top architects including Push by Design, Stephen Kidd, Frank Macchia, Peter Hull, SDC, Bark Design, Gabriel Poole and many more! Now with our own stable of arguably the best workers money can buy we have embarked on a new direction.
